The student's reused the bottles we collected and made beautiful flower vases!
They made spring observations using their 5 senses to prepare for our spring poetry next week.
The Waste Reduction Coordinator from Chittenden Waste visited our classroom and did a hands-on presentation about recycling. We learned lots of new facts! Did you know that any cardboard made for the fridge or freezer CAN'T be recycled? Such as orange juice cartons, frozen pizza boxes etc.
Owen independently decided to start his own "Recycling Contest" called, "Owen's Recycling Project"
We have been taking a lot about change. Today I read them a children's book I wrote and then we discussed ways they have blossomed from the beginning of kindergarten! They spent a long time doing their best "first grade writing". Take a look at the ramp- they are all hung up. They game out WONDERFUL.
Miss Fisher and I tied up the week with Spirit Team Reduce,Reuse,Recycle Jeopardy!
